Google Docs to Moodle Assignment - Basic Link

  • Make sure that the asset (Document, Video,  Image, ... that you want to submit/share is in the Google Drive and Docs folder that I shared with you (for Presentations - see this post)
  • Click on the link to open Google Drive and Docs
  • Right-click on the asset that you want to submit/share and select "Share ...",  then "Share ..." again from the slide-out menu
  • In the "Sharing settings" box that pops-up, you should see "Link to share (only accessible by collaborators)" and  a box with a long, blue-highlighted link.
  • Right-click on the link and select "Copy" (or Ctrl-C)
  • Select the "Add Submission" button below.
  • Paste (Ctrl-V; right-click doesn't work) the link in the Text box below
  • Put your mouse anywhere on the text and triple-click and the entire link should be selected
  • Click on the chain (Insert/edit link) button and, in the "Link URL" box/field, Ctrl-V to paste in the link again
  • In the "Target" dropdown field,  select "Open in new window (_blank)"
  • Click the "Insert" button and your text should now be blue
  • You get full marks for a working,  clickable, html link
  • Click "Submit"/"Save Changes"
