App Inventor Assignments for Programming 11 or 12

General Instructions for the submission of all App Inventor submissions

  1. (Re)Name your projects as follows:
    lnamefinitial_assign#_assignname (eg. janzem_01_HelloPurr)
  2. When your assignment is done, download both the .apk (android install file) and the .zip (source code)
  3. Upload your files into the App Inventor folder that you created in your GDocs shared folder.
  4. Link you files to the correct Moodle hand-in assignment.
  5. Embed your files, with a short description, into your ePortfolio

App Inventor Assignments for Term III

  1. Create AppInventor folder in GDocs Shared folder
  2. HelloPurr (Chapter 1 - online, local)
  3. HelloMe - adapt HelloPurr to have your own picture and sound
  4. PaintPot (Chapter 2 - online, local)
  5. PaintRainbow - add the rest of the colours to PaintPot.  Extra brush sizes would be cool too
  6. MoleMash (Chapter 3 - online, local)
  7. Whack-A-Mole - research whac-a-mole and fix MoleMash to be more like the original: 5 moles that appear and disappear
  8. Ladybug Chase (Chapter 5 - online, local)
  9. Ladybug Chase - personal choice on how to adapt; simple theme changes (graphics) don't count though.
  10. Calculator (Separate Assignment - online (pages 2-13 to 2-17 ), local)
  11. CalculatorII - proper buttons: 0 - 9, +, -, *, /  (extra for M, MR, MC, SQR, ROOT)
  12. Any assignment that uses TinyDB - (Chapter 4 - online, 7 - online or 10 - online)
  13. Adapt/personalize Assignment 12 for final assignment (see Chapter 22 - online for discussion of databases)
